Unlike most twelve-year-olds, in the seventh grade I decided I needed a job. Long-story-short, I ended up selling cakes and cupcakes to family, and within a few years, the business took off. Jorie Cakes called Dublin, Ohio, home for six years as I graduated middle school and then high school--and ran a fully-functioning home-bakery at the same time. Now, as a sophomore at Berry College, Jorie Cakes is open for business in Villa Rica, Georgia (sorry, Ohio friends, I just couldn't handle one more 8-month-long, below freezing winter!). By the grace of God I have experienced so many incredible opportunities through Jorie Cakes (and learned some good skills like time management and customer service and how to get myself out of the messes I make). In Jorie Cakes' "off season"--when I'm studying Business Management and Sports Administration at school--you can find me playing golf for Berry and most likely in the gym trying to work off all of the frosting I've eaten (bakers have to stay in shape, too!). But, seriously, I love cake, and I hope you'll give Jorie Cakes a try.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
